After the patient presentation and wrap-up session, the student will be able to:
1. Take a history of a patient’s growth and childhood development.
2. Obtain a list of dietary supplements and medications that the patient has taken in the past and is currently taking for his or her symptoms.
3. Take a history of GI procedures and examinations that a patient has had to evaluate his or her condition.
4. Take a dietary history.
5. Ask a patient about bowel habits and begin to understand how these habits can signal GI motility and absorption problems.
